Kinderhook Lakehouse Complete Remodel

This Kinderhook Lake home underwent a complete interior transformation. The house was taken down to the studs, carefully re-supported, reframed where needed, and rebuilt from the inside out with durability, functionality, and long-term quality in mind.

Once the original walls, ceilings, finishes, and outdated materials were removed, we were able to address the structure and rebuild the home properly before moving into the finish stages. New framing, updated wall and ceiling surfaces, recessed lighting, trim, doors, flooring, built-in storage, and custom shelving were all incorporated into the renovation.

The difference between the before and after photos is dramatic. Dark, dated hallways, older paneling, louvered doors, worn finishes, and inefficient storage areas were replaced with bright walls, clean white trim, warm wood-tone flooring, modern paneled doors, black hardware, and a much more cohesive layout.

The laundry area was also completely rebuilt, transforming an older closet-style setup into a clean, functional space with fresh finishes and open wood shelving. Throughout the home, storage areas and closets were redesigned to make better use of the available space while maintaining a consistent finished look.

This project was far more than a cosmetic update. Much of the most important work is now hidden behind the finished walls, including structural reinforcement, framing, utility work, and careful preparation that allowed the final details to come together properly.

The finished lakehouse is brighter, stronger, more functional, and built to last. It is a complete example of what a true whole-home renovation should be—rebuilding an older home from the inside out while creating a beautiful, modern space designed for many more years of life on Kinderhook Lake.
